So in the UK, we have something called Shrove Tuesday, which is also known Pancake Day. What was once a Christian tradition has become pretty much a yearly event where people go out of their way to eat pancakes. But in my opinion, pancakes are an all year round meal and I definitely don’t need an excuse to eat them. If it was up to me every Tuesday would be Pancake Day. London’s pancake scene is as diverse, whether you’re a fan of classic crêpes, fluffy American stacks, or innovative fusion creations, there’s a spot in London ready to satisfy your pancake cravings. Here’s a curated list of some of the best places to indulge.
Where The Pancakes Are (Central and South London)
They servce the classic buttermilk pancakes that are used in all their dishes. They are made fresh evry day and left to steep for at least 8 hours. They have some awesome combinations including the classics.

The world famous La Crêperie de Hampstead, established in Hampstead in 1977. Offering a unique Crêpes experience and is a must try in London. Also, it is situated in one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in London.
Granger & Co (Multiple locations)
I tried these years ago and I still reminisce about that first taste. Whilst this is not a pancake specific restaurant, I have to give a mention their ricotta hotcakes. The pancakes are one of Bill Granger’s most famous brunch dishes, this recipe brings together light, fluffy ricotta hotcakes with banana and honeycomb butter.
The Breakfast Club (Multiple locations)
Breakfast All Day, Every Day. Famous for towering stacks of fluffy American pancakes drenched in maple syrup, often with crispy bacon on top. A must-visit for brunch lovers!
