Iconic London Landmarks that you shouldn’t miss

So I know I am veering away from local things to do in London but growing up here, these are the landmarks that I have visited as a child and adult, and believe are definitely shouldn’t be skipped if you are wanting to learn more about London’s history.

From royal residences to world-class museums, here’s a guide to the must-sees that will make your London trip truly unforgettable:

Royal London

  • Buckingham Palace and the Mall: Witness the Changing of the Guard, a quintessential London experience, and stroll down the majestic Mall towards Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the monarch. I also would recommend checking out St James’ Park which in the 17th C, James 1 ordered that the park be drained and landscaped, and exotic animals were kept in the park, including camels, crocodiles, an elephant and exotic birds.
  • Hampton Court Palace: Step back in time to the Tudor era at Henry VIII’s magnificent palace. Explore the opulent state rooms, wander through the sprawling gardens, and lose yourself in the maze.
