A day spent exploring Islington

Islington is a diverse and dynamic North London neighbourhood with a rich history and a vibrant contemporary scene. The borough is composed of distinct areas, each with its own unique character. Angel is a bustling hub known for its shopping, theatre, and lively nightlife. Upper Street, Islington’s main thoroughfare, is lined with a mix of independent shops, restaurants, and pubs. Highbury offers a more residential feel with charming Victorian terraces and green spaces like Highbury Fields. Canonbury exudes a tranquil atmosphere with its elegant Georgian squares and independent shops. Barnsbury is known for its village-like charm, independent shops, and proximity to Regent’s Canal. Islington Green provides a focal point with its historic church and surrounding park. These diverse areas, each with its own distinct flavour, combine to create the vibrant tapestry that is Islington.
